These illustrations are from an ongoing project to illustrate the cover, endpapers, and each chapter of the book This Is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. I chose to illustrate this book because of the unique and intriguing premise and the intense focus on the main characters, as well as wanting to explore the strong juxtapositions between the two characters. I am first illustrating them in ballpoint pen to achieve a unique texture and line quality, then coloring them digitally in Photoshop. Stay tuned for the rest of this project to be completed!
